PREMIER DIVISION
GUNGHO MARKETING 20
BELLE CONSTRUCTION 36
Belle was on top-form as they racked up another win as division leaders.
Both teams were quick to apply pressure to the opposing attackers, making for fast back-and-forth play. Belle upped their game in the centre court to secure possession and convert into a small lead.
Both teams performed well in the second quarter, scoring the same amount of goals. The superb accuracy of Belle’s Sue Lee (GS) and tactical use of space by Jamie Browne (GA) kept their opponents from lowering the score difference. Gungho came back fighting with impressive defensive play from Lauren McRobbie (GD) and Gabby Bennet (GK). Belle began to dominate, however, with a string of points boosting their lead.
Gungho gave their all to maintain possession but struggled to convert. Belle made the most of every opportunity to come away with a convincing victory.

DIVISION TWO
BEAMINSTER BRAVES 15
COASTAL CHEESE 32
COASTAL Cheese came out on top, blazing ahead after a close first quarter.
An effortless goal from Ellie Donoghue (GA) in the first minute gave Braves an early advantage. Tight defence at both ends made for a low-scoring quarter. The score was close but Coastal were able to push ahead slightly to gain a one-goal lead.
An injury for Coastal resulted in some position changes, though this didn’t seem to affect their play. Braves’ C, Laura Alexander, made some insightful interceptions resulting in much-needed turnovers. Coastal’s Rachel Walsh (GK) gave her all in Braves’ D to limit scoring opportunities. However, a productive quarter saw Coastal extend their lead significantly. The third quarter was a defensive masterclass from Coastal, who skilfully kept Braves from closing the gap.
Both teams kept up their commitment through the final quarter. Braves’ persistent defence paid off as they extracted the ball cleanly from Coastal goal-third. However, Coastal continued to show off their skills, reaping the rewards as they claimed a well-earned win.

DIVISION ONE
WJNC 11
BUGLERS 40
BUGLERS showed why they are top-of-division in a fantastic display of netball tactics.
Buglers dominated the first quarter, using the height of GA, Kat Frampton, to their advantage, with high passes into the D effortlessly converted to a small lead.
WJNC were quick to score, although Buglers soon upped their defence to limit further opportunities. The third quarter saw continuous back-and-forth play. However, Buglers’ consistently accurate shooting kept their score difference climbing.
Some great interceptions from Buglers’ defensive side kept WJNC’s shooters at Bay, whilst Buglers’ energetic attack continued, confirming their victory.

DIVISION ONE
CANNADOX 36
DORCHESTER NC 21
CANNADOX easily claimed the victory after impressive an netball display.
Cannadox started well straight out the block. Despite a strong Dorchester defence, Cannadox’s Stacey Grover (Gs) and Natalie Summerfield (GA) were steadfast and accurate, quickly racking up points.
As the second quarter progressed, Dorchester found their stride; GA, Amelia Corrie-Fairhurst, displayed fantastic athleticism and composure as she fed the ball into the D. By the third quarter, both teams were evenly-matched. Interceptions and great pressure from both sides kept the scoreline low, with only 7 goals scored in total.
Throughout the match, Cannadox maintained excellent defensive pressure and fluid attack, allowing them to steadily increase their lead. As the final whistle blew, Cannadox knew their hard work had paid off as they claimed a respectable 15-goal win.
